Personal Investments • Time to buy long-term bond or long-term treasure funds?

Now that the Fed interest rate is approaching or has reached a peak, it seems now is a good time to buy into some long term bond funds like VBLAX (long term bond) or VUSTX (long term treasury). I'm seeking comments. Is this a good idea? Which of the two might be a better choice? Or perhaps an equal measure of both? Any risks I should consider (apart from calamities that will hurt everything)?
The current NAV of any bond fund is currently discounted from historical highs. You would be buying more shares for the same investment amount than you would have for the last decade. On top of that dividends have doubled from what they were paying in the recent low rate years. Simple answer, this is the best buying opportunity for bonds in decades.
