Have you considered using the L Income Fund which purports to focus on preservation? With a hefty allocation to the G Fund, and an equity allocation that is slowly gliding up to a maximum of 30% (IIRC), it could be a conservative position for a youngish early retiree.

Also, anyone considering annuitization Should compare quotes from multiple highly rated providers.
