Personal Consumer Issues • What frugal thing did you do today?

I take paper napkins home from resturants and take out bags to reuse. I save bread bag twist ties. When I get mail, e.g., car insurance renewal, I keep the envelope they include to send payment in (I pay online and reuse the envelope for something else). When I get a burger at my local deli it comes wrapped in tinfoil which I fold up and store in a kitchen drawer (I don't use much tinfoil so I never have to buy any). I reuse the same straw when I go to a bar for multiple drinks (to save the turtles) but recently I have started bringing them home then grabbing one when I go back to the bar. My ex-girlfriend is a tenant in my own home and was a hairdresser in a previous life - she cuts my hair for free. I must be reincarnated from a depression era person. I fully admit that I am a freak :D

I don't use chapstick but I had an old latin teacher in high school who would save the very bottom of a chapstick that isn't really usable, and after 5 or 6 chapticks he had enough to recreate an entire stick.
