No. When I held them in a VG brokerage account, the basis of each lot was segregated. They screwed that up when they transferred them to Fidelity. I still had screen caps showing the true basis for each lot. I knew from experience that VG could not be trusted for even simple stuff like this.Vanguard has always listed noncovered shares as average cost basis, which they report to you, but not to the IRS. You have to use your own records for actual cost basisThat was a smart move, because when VG moved the non-covered shares, they changed them from specific lot basis to average cost basis.
