I've only heard of 1 of the books. The 1 by Hawthorne which I know is fiction. Of the others how many are fiction and how many are nonfiction? I'm guessing the Baldwin book is Nonfiction.
All of the "longtime faves" are fiction, including the Baldwin. Of the "recent faves," only the Zhang and Powers are fiction.
Thanks for response. You seem to have a rich book reading life!
I do - one of the pleasures of being a retired high school English teacher.
