Started earlier than the OP, am some number of years older, am doing more or less OK portfolio-wise, long ago passed the 25X or 33X or 50X or whatever ratios folks decree here as being so dispositively crucial, no dependents and no debts... and yet, every time that there's XYZ rumor or ruction in the market, I quake, and the teeth chatter.
