It is, imo, appalling that your attorney put you in a place where you’re uncomfortable about how you’ve made plans for your children. IANAL, but probably trusts will be required to make sure that you and your wife are taken care of in appropriate ways. MA limits are similars to WA limits, and there is a Rube Goldberg flow of trusts when each of us dies. I literally asked my attorney to do a flow chart (I’m a visual learner), and she obliged.Thank you for the advice on the attorney replacement. I liked the guy and he seemed very patient, and was well referred. It is just that for eight years, I have been uncomfortable with the lack of concern on bloodline inheritance protection.
