Three years ago I purchased a Bosch 800 series refrigerator. It has a separate compressor for both the freezer and the refrigerator sections. About 6 months ago I noticed that the high temperature alarm in the freezer was going off and the temp was around 25 degrees. After lots of poking around on the internet I saw a suggestion to unplug the unit, wait a few minutes and plug back in. Voila - freezer started cooling again. This has recurred on several occasions and I'd like to fix this problem rather than putting a bandaid on it. I've posted on appliance forums but haven't had much luck. I've also had to use Bosch technicians for unrelated problems when the unit was under warranty and the results were disappointing. Their approach seemed to be to throw parts at it rather than diagnose.
I realize I'm looking for a unicorn here but wondered if anyone has had or heard of a problem like this. Ultimately I'll probably have to call Bosch but will save that as a last resort.
