I finished the Three Body Problem trilogy. [And am 2/3 thru the 4th book, The Redemption of Time.]I have reserved "Three Body Problem" [the book] at my local library. 3rd in queue.Agreed. Most of the major (mind boggling) concepts are there. I have not enjoyed much/most of the acting, though. Kind of a weak cast, if you ask me.
IMO the Netflix series does a pretty good job of presenting the story and most of the key concepts in an easy-to-digest manner. They're not the same characters and specific events, so you can't hop back and forth, as you may be able to with the Tencent version.
Also agree 100% that anyone who likes the TV shows should pick up the books.
I agree, the concepts are mind-boggling!
I don't think I've ever read an SF series like this. No real protagonists!
Every time I thought I saw a protagonist [Cheng Xin, Luol Ji, Thomas Wade], they did something that was the antithesis of a hero.
And so many gaps in the story/plot lines! I can see why Baoshu wrote a 4th book!
I thought the Netflix series did a good job in the VR games. The visuals were much better than just reading the text in the book.
