I have state income tax, so FSIXX is better for me since it usually is about 95% exempt from state/local taxes. Thanks for the update. Haver you looked at FIGXX which is available at ME? current yield is 5.21% vs 5.18% for FSIXX. I don't know if FIGXX will auto liquidate in a Fidelity account. Thanks again for sharing your experience. The $10 of FSIXX I transferred in-kind from ME showed up in my Fidelity CMA today, it is still unsettled and I am unable to add money to it yet. I assume once it is settled and I can exchange funds from FDLXX to FSIXX, then Fidelity will auto liquidate FSIXX like it does with FDLXX.I saw bongo's message that it might be possible and decided to give it a try. Here's how it went:Please share how you did it! How much did you move?
I successfully moved FSIXX from ME to Fidelity.
- I bought a small amount ($11.00) of FSIXX in ME to test the process.
- A day or two later, I initiated a transfer via Fidelity. My recollection on this part is a bit hazy, but I recall picking the "partial transfer" option and selecting the "transferring of a mutual fund" option. My guess is that the person who previously attempted may have selected the "cash" option instead.
- It showed up in my Fido Account and eventually settled. It wouldn't let me buy more before it settled, but I have successfully done so since.
