Personal Consumer Issues • Fire Safety with Lithium Battery Power Tools?

All this talk about Li batteries for tools and safety with them being in very hot garages has me wondering.
Aren't these the same garages where people are parking and charging their EVs? I believe those batteries are a bit bigger than those in power tools. Image may be NSFW.

Yes, which is why there is a disproportionally high number of spontaneous combustion of vehicles that contain Li batteries. Hybrids have the highest proportionate number because in addition to the Li they have a tank of flammable propellant on board also.
Interestingly, full electric vehicles have the lowest rate of combustion of any vehicles on the road currently.
According to the data I saw, EVs had the lowest total number overall but were also the least common type of vehicle compared to ICE and hybrid -- by far.

As a percentage of combustion events, EVs were much higher than ICE vehicles but 2nd to hybrids -- again, not in total number, but proportionately.
