Hello community.
I have been trying to determine how much SS I will get if I stopped work x years in the future (before full retirement age), but claimed SS only at full retirement, or at 70 years. None of the SS calculators I've been able to find allow this calculation. I have done this in a cumbersome way with the SSA calculator by entering a birth date about 10 years before my actual, and then, entering the actual earnings stream from the start year minus 10 (i.e. if I actually started contributing to SS in 2000, then I would shift the earnings stream to start from 1990). As I said, this is cumbersome, and I am not sure if it counts for inflation correctly.
Is there a SS calculator which will tell me the SS benefits, where I can enter a retirement date in the future (i.e. 5 years from now at age 55) and then started claiming SS at full retirement (67) or at 70.
Thank you
Sunset
