As the old adventure games used to say, "You must tell me how to do a thing like that." I've been surprise-billed after the most careful checking I knew how to do. A procedure covered by the insurance, even according to the glossy summary document. Nothing unusual or experimental. (A polysomnography, if you want to know). At a facility pre-approved by the insurance as an appropriate place for that procedure. The final outcome was OK, but it took hours of phone calls to get it straightened out....Don't have treatments that aren't covered by your insurance...
Other than staying healthy, what can I do to avoid having this happen to me and my spouse?
