Amex doesn't do a hard pull for existing clients. You mentioned you have a personal Amex card. In this case the freeze wouldn't have mattered anyway. The weird thing is that the Amex notification email was sent your email address not associated with the personal Amex card. It doesn't make sense that the fraudster put your email address on the application because that would be a sure way to alert you, which is exactly what happened.Another odd thing - no hard inquiry alerts. I usually get a flurry of emails from different sources (credit monitoring) saying a new inquiry was added to my account.
