OK 7.1 million today. If OP can say to himself “a million here and million there, it is no big deal to me” I think he has the right mindset
People who keep on saying “but he had over $10m at one time” need to understand that he also had 3 4 5 … millions when this odyssey started. He did not stop on the way up. If he had not gambled and stayed with BH portfolio since starting he might have ended up with only few millions. I understand that scale is different when I am 90:10 SP500 index vs single stock but the difference is of degree. I know that I am not the only one here who has seen portfolio going up and going down substantially. Yes OP is on different plateau but basic principle is similar for anybody who is 90:10
One has to understand that without the gambling streak he would not have amassed this portfolio even though it has dropped from ATH. I mean if he had removed half every time it doubled and moved to indexed fund no way he would have the numbers
