Fidelity is now supporting open-TOTP apps as an alternative to Symantec VIP. This makes it possible to use a TOTP app that is protected with a pin or biometrics on a phone beyond just unlocking the phone. This also may enable a TOTP app to support a more robust encryption protocol for the TOTP secret seed.
