Is there a better, and more readable, book to give a 34 y o novice investor as a primer on investing than The Investor's Manifesto by Bill Bernstein?

If so, what book and why?
A good "first" step.
"A Simple Path To Wealth" by J. L. Collins
Amazon (softcover).

Readable, clarity at a novice/beginner level.
Understandable, a good "first" book with a comprehensive look at;
What is wealth
What is financial independence
How to get there
etc.

This is a great recommendation on a key investing book. JL Collins puts the perceived complexity & mystery of investing into simple understandable instructions that make it less daunting. I am a huge fan of JL Collins, hence my signature tag line which is one of his many notable quotes. I would also suggest you visit his website for his "stock series" writings and his audio/video interviews which are equally awesome.

Good points. Cool signature.

"Simple writing" that is clear and concise is a pleasure to read.

Also, "Pathfinders" by Collins, similar to "Millionaire Next Door".

I've read a large corpus of available books on personal investing finance, and tangents. Often, what's in a popular book could have been delivered in one chapter. The books often suggested on the forum wiki, etc, are written well, too.

thanks
