Personal Consumer Issues • Buying Replacement Car Tires

Stumbled upon this a little late, but I thought I'd add because I have ordered from both Tire Rack and Discount Tire. One poster said it didn't make sense to order online, but what they do during the online checkout process is they show a list of local tire installers near you to ship directly to and make an appointment for installation. Choose a shop you're familiar with or you can also check out each installer's reviews. For the tires themselves, I have found Tire Rack to be the best, Consumer Reports covers some of the major brands, and there's some independent sites out there too I see are still up and running. From my bookmarks: https://www.tirerack.com, https://www.consumerreports.org/cars/tires/, https://www.1010tires.com/Tires/Reviews, https://www.tire-reviews.com/, https://www.tirereviews.com

I think like most reviews, they aren't really that valid when people review them when they're brand new. I really want to know how the tires perform after many miles.
