I'm going to look into it and see if Win11 has anything like you're describing.Incremental backups are the way to go for daily backups. On Linux I use a program called backintime. Each daily backup creates a snapshot that contains only the files that changed, with pointers to the unchanged files so that it looks like a complete backup for that day. I have it set to keep daily snapshots for the past week, weekly snapshots for the past month, and monthly snapshots back to when I started using it. This runs very fast (3 to 5 seconds most days), doesn't need a lot of redundant disk space, and lets me recover deleted files or previous versions if I ever need to do that. MacOS has Time Machine which is very similar. I'm sure there must be an equivalent for Windows, or more likely a number of equivalents.Auto daily backup? The more backups the better. Will your backup overwrite? Or will you keep several days' backups? It's OK to do this. I've never considered doing this because I don't have the need.
I've been using Macrium for years and will look into their options too.
Thanks for the info
