I saw an old thread that said Fidelity HSAs don't track cost basis. Is that accurate? It's relevant for CA/NJ.

I know they probably won't provide a 1099, but I assume on the positions page I could still see each lot and the cost basis for each? Also, under tax center, will the YTD tax activity page work and show dividends, etc.?
My fid HSA has cost basis, purchase history and all the closed position info for at least 4 yrs. Same as my other type of accounts. IDK about the ytd tax activity though.
Fidelity HSA shows closed positions with gain/loss since 2014 AND ytd tax activity (for 2024)
