I think EA is high end middle of the road furniture. Probably overpriced for what it is but much better quality than severely overpriced lower tier brands.
I personally like buying uber-high end furniture used. I have a home filled with Baker and Hickory Chair furniture that I've bought from all over the country. I scour high-end estate sales and consignment shops and have it shipped using uShip. I am not talking about old looking furniture. Pieces that Baker currently sells. It is amazing how much furniture depreciates.
For instance, I have a Baker king bed that was $20k new. I paid about $3k for it and that includes shipping it from Texas to Chicago. I have two Baker chairs I bought from an estate sale in California that would have been $15k for both. Paid a few thousand dollars for both including shipping and reupholstering them with Schumacher fabric our decorator picked out.
It has taken me several years to find everything but it is sort of fun.
