I don't follow all the calculations, but if you really accumulate $ 2.5 million by age 40, that should be enough to retire, not with much safety. If you figure 82% probability of success, that doesn't seem a safe enough number for most who post here.
You can probably make it work with some flexibility, if you must.
In other words, if I were forced to retire, it would be good enough, but I wouldn't retire just because I hit that number.
