Oh, I dunno...Another great thing about cash is you never need to back the truck up for it. It’s never on sale (or always is, depending on how you look at it). So less wear-and-tear on the truck

Here is another possibly less well known piece we experienced.
When we purchased our home, we only had to provide the money market account statement.
With our income and credit score it was “enough”.
We were thankful that we did not have to provide or disclose and investment statements of account.
We asked but they said it was not needed.
This is why I always had cash separated from investments.

Right now, MMFs, CDs, and T-bills have substantial positive real yield vs inflation.
That's a very different 'back the truck up' situation than in 2020 when cash had negative real yield.
