I picked up the AirPods Pro 2 yesterday and paired them with an iPhone 15 pro running IOS 18.1.
I ran the hearing test and scored severe hearing loss in both ears. Tested them with music to confirm they worked but not well.
I then tried to set them up as a hearing aid but was not allowed to. They are not designed for my level of loss.
Both ears are blocked by wax which precluded me from having my Phonac HAs re-programmed at Costco. I have doubts that the AirPods would work as HAs even with that fixed bc the loss is so great.
