I'm still unsure how to determine the total amount out of which I'm building my three-fund portfolio.
But I’ve been sitting for a while staring at a spreadsheet of how my savings are allocated, and when I imagine my stocks crashing by 60%, my cryptocurrencies crashing by 90%, and my home crashing by 35%, all at the same time, I feel that my current allocations to each of them are spot on. This is the maximum risk I can handle without getting stressed and losing sleep.
So I'm listening to your advice. I’ll stick to the allocation I’ve had all along—also before my bank told me about the possibility of a 60% home loan for retirees.
