Investing - Theory, News & General • Here's my portfolio

Every once in a while I get asked for my personal portfolio. It changes a bit over time (I'm a tinkerer), and I've shared it in the past but usually in some other thread. Here it is for reference.

Please don't assume I'm recommending this portfolio to anyone, including you.

21.37%Vanguard US Multifactor ETF (VFMF)
17.38%SPDR® S&P 600 Small Cap Value ETF (SLYV)
12.79%Xtrackers MSCI EAFE High Div Yld Eq ETF (HDEF)
12.18%iShares Core MSCI Emerging Markets ETF (IEMG)
9.30%iShares Edge MSCI Intl Size Factor ETF (ISZE)
8.48%Vanguard Extended Duration Trs ETF (EDV)
8.22%Individual Stocks
6.54%Individual Bonds
3.74%SPDR® S&P 500 ETF (SPY)

The individual stocks are mostly mid/small cap utility stocks (e.g. ATO,EE, HE, NJR, OGE, OGS, WTR) and consumer staples.

The individual bonds are a mix of corporate bonds and taxable municipal bonds (average duration about 9 years, which is dragged down by some bonds that are callable in the next year).

SPDR® S&P 500 ETF (SPY) is actually a proxy for a CIT that's in a 401(k) plan. Virtually all the other assets are in Traditional IRAs.
Hi Bogleheads -

Has anyone corresponded with Vineviz?

It has been almost 2 years since his unfortunate departure forma the forum.

Vineviz provided a different perspective and hopefully would consider coming back to the Bogleheads!

Best.
Tony
There's a Forum Issues board here and can I suggest you post there?

The answer is, I think, no.

I agree that he made some really good analyses. Provocative thinker. I liked his bond posts very much

Like many such, I think he found the strictures here & the prevalent mindset to be not to his liking. Speculating wildly here.

We are seeing this broadly in the internet, the website formerly known as Twitter is going one way, and lots of people are seeking the blue sky beyond. Changes to the Block functionality were the last straw - particularly for women, who attract a disproportionate share of the worst aspects of the Internet (the so-called Dark Triad of Machiavellianism/ Sadism/ Psychopathy* -- and the frequently associated misogyny). A fragmentation in favour of people who agree with you.

* internet trolls score highly on the Dark Triad, the latest research seems to show. It's the bane of Meta (FB) and is leading to increasing restrictions into closed user groups. Twitter was perhaps the last "wide open" holdout.

It's like apparently there is a Reddit of Bogleheads, which isn't moderated in the way this one is. Whereas I think the Mods here do an amazing job given the dispersion of opinions and personality types here, and the events in the wider world.
