Personal Finance (Not Investing) • Looking back were you too conservative when purchasing the home you raised your family in?

I will answer for my parents, since the question doesn't apply to me: no, they were absolutely not too conservative. They did several things right: bought a brand-new home that was modest for their earning prospects. Life didn't turn out the way they'd planned and they never upgraded, but did buy a second home that took every available dollar; that wouldn't have been possible if they'd invested more in that first primary home.
