If there is a seasonality effect with santa clause rallies, is the ideal time to sell end of the month? I've seen some funds do quarterly rebalancing on "seasonality" so figured I'd ask if there's any statistical evidence behind it.
I never go back to a stock if I sell it for a loss. I use the opportunity to jettison the runts. Losses get sold, gains get donated. I have 3 left to dump but the max deduction is 30% of AGI. When I start RMDs I can get rid of most of them.
I would hope that managed, passive funds (e.g. target) do things on a regular basis based on thresholds and not time.
