In such a case, if the OP rejects the car after the test drive, the dealer can surely sell it to someone else less discriminating. They won't be stuck with it.

OP are you comfortable saying what Make and Model and year you're interested in purchasing?
Maybe there's a different standard if we are talking 2024 Lamborghini vs 2023 Ford Fusion?
