Personal Finance (Not Investing) • Question about what tax year a K-1 should be included.

Tax year question aside...So many times I've gotten a late or revised document. It is just easier to wait until just before the deadline to file.
I think taxpayers who have to live with on-going delayed or corrected K-1's eventually just file for filing extensions and file by that deadline to simplify things. Of course they'll have to do some preliminary calculations and pay the tax due by the original deadline. If you've got a significant refund that you want ASAP then you may have no other option than to file and amend as necessary.

My spouse had a K-1 holding in our early years of filing jointly. It was such a relief when it liquidated.
