My CU is StarOne, and they require both e-mail and phone number for Zelle. That is stated in their Zelle enrollment instructions.My experience has been that Zelle can use email when supported directly through the financial institution. When enrolling in Zelle I am usually prompted to select email or the phone number. I've fairly recently signed up all of these with email only:

I also have BofA. Curious how you got it to work with just email. I couldn't find detailed Zelle enrollment instructions. There are videos I didn't want to watch. I could not get it to work yesterday. Will be calling them later today.
