Investing - Theory, News & General • 2.25% Initial Withdrawal Rate.... FIRE?

I am feeling similarly about my work situation...

If I needed to I think I would be about 3% withdrawal rate if I needed to....

however, I've been planning and have a 16 month cash cushion... so I wouldn't even need to think about it... also, I have side job work that I do which would fill about 50% of my expenses.. and if I needed to scale that up I easily could. I enjoy the work a lot but only do it about 1-2 weekends a month.. I could not work a normal 9-5 and start working 3-4 weekends a month, but be off work the rest of the week.

This totally changes that game as the end result probably replaces 80-90% of my yearly expenses... I'd call myself very close to being completely FI... but there are some things I really enjoy doing that I found I can make money at.. A good problem.
