For those that use fidelity does their CMA have all the features of a checking account? What’s the downside ?

You can't deposit cash and you can't connect CMA with Zelle.

There are recent reports on this forum and Reddit that you can use the Zelle app with Fidelity now. I have not personally tried it, but have seen it mentioned several times.

Thank you for this info. I just setup my CMA debit card on the Zelle app and had a family member sent me money. I received a text alert from Fidelity about a debit card transaction which read

for $5.00 from ZEL*Name of Sender was posted to your account on 04/23.

In the account activity section on Fidelity’s site it reads

DEBIT CRD CREDIT ADJ (Cash) $5.00

Worked flawlessly.

One thing to note is with the Zelle app you have to use your cell phone number so if you have Zelle on another account you have to remove your cell number from that account first and then sign up.

Can you send from the CMA, or just receive?
