Most important advice I can give you is that the Sport edition usually does not have the serious 4WD functionality that otherwise makes Toyota such a great buy. For real outdoors use, getting back into the deep woods, or driving in mud, sand, snow, you will want a truck with the better 4WD functions.
Over the past 30 years, I've had three 4Runners and one Tacoma. Would not go back to the Tacoma again. Did not have the feature set and performance I was looking for. After the second 4Runner, I wanted to give a pick-up a try, and got the Tacoma, but it was a disappointment, mostly because of the functions/features included in the Sport edition. Now back in a 4Runner, the 2020 Venture Special Edition, (a special version of the Off Road Premium trim level) and I love it. That thing is very nice to drive but has the feature set that can get me into, and out of, anything and anywhere.
