Personal Finance (Not Investing) • Insurance planning - advice on how to start?

For life insurance, it's just figuring out how much coverage you want, and getting it as cheap as possible. Up to a certain age (30? 40?) you can get term life insurance with no medical exam. You only need enough to keep cover your partner's living expenses for X years. Maybe 5 years? In my case it was also to cover my kids to age 21 or whatever.

I never worried about LTD, but my employers always had 2/3 of my salary covered after 6 months or something.
