Personal Finance (Not Investing) • opportunity cost killing our vacation home?

I think your thinking is solid, but then I try to explain it to others and they look at me like I’ve got an eye in my forehead.

I assumed you meant treasury as a lower bound just for purposes of your argument, that’d you’d put it somewhere riskier with an even longer upside.

I’ve got an appreciated home and it’s opportunity cost drives me nuts. It’s my home but gosh it’s expensive when you consider what that money could be doing.

Is there a chance your circumstances might change and you’d move there for longer? After I retired we started using our vacation place a lot more.
