Honest question -- why are you finding the SNT with a traditional IRA and not a Roth IRA?
We are working through figuring things out for our own situation -- a non-independent daughter and a capable sibling -- and we were leaning towards funding a SNT with Roth IRA to maximize assets available to her (by minimize taxes incurred by required RMDs in the SNT which would be stretched over her lifetime). Given the tax structure of SNT it seemed like minimizing taxes on the RMD -- and other sales to support her -- would help provide more resources for her.
