Was your share balance on 5/31 also 15365.3730?
Yes, as it happens, but that doesn’t matter. The dividend is paid for shares I owned on the record date, not any other date. I could have had zero shares or one million shares on 5/31 and still would have received the same dividend for the 15,365.3730 shares I held at open on 6/28.
Not for bond funds whose dividends are declared daily and paid monthly. Perhaps you are thinking of stock dividends.
Ah, thanks for the correction. I knew that money market funds declared dividends daily, but I didn’t know the same was true of VUSUX. (My other bond fund, VAIPX, declares and pays dividends quarterly.)
