I like USFR and treat it like a MMF. It's performance has been slightly better than SGOV. It's effective duration is the lowest if I remember correctly, and it has a good record of being state-tax exempt if that matters to you. At Fidelity I use FDLXX over USFR for some portion but only because it auto-liquidates so can be used to pay bills etc.
