Oddly, the only cards that I’ve had compromised were ones that I don’t use and had not been used for purchases for several years.
I use Apple Pay as an intermediary to make almost every card purchase so that my actual card numbers are not sent to merchants. Perhaps the OP should consider using a digital wallet to help reduce compromises.
