It would be nice if there were more that one could do than freeze credit, and then passively monitor and thus try to dispute fraudulent charges or accounts after they occur.
I hadn't heard of that insurance before. It's still after-the-fact in terms of helping, but it does sound nice to do more than monitor and say, "yup, just had my balance drained." I guess it depends on the fine print - maybe if you used the late Mint or current aggregators, your claim might get rejected?
