Personal Investments • Help With Portfolio Allocation

I know timing is normally bad. I updated the post to say I have zero debt. So let’s say roughly $3.4 million total investable. Why shouldn’t I do 70/30 VTI/VXUS? I’m sure I should have some bonds or fixed assets. I just have no experience with bonds. Bond funds (BND)? The rate of return and growth is not that exciting these days. Cash seemed like the better place to have money instead of bonds.
Welcome to the forum.
...but I was expecting a large crash.

Any advice?
Timing the market based upon feelings or "financial news" is a poor strategy that will most likely underperform a buy and hold strategy.

For better forum advice, I'd suggest editing your post and provide a more detailed account of your situation using this format. https://www.bogleheads.org/wiki/Asking_ ... _questions
