Personal Consumer Issues • Buying used car: mileage?

My preference was for US-made cars (which depreciate pretty rapidly) with 45-55K miles.
That usually made them about 4-5 years old.
Aren't you concerned about the quality? More headaches to be repaired? Granted, I have not paid attention to the domestic car market in a long time.
I have driven used domestic cars for 30 years at this point I haven't had many issues with them but I select them somewhat carefully. Also given the cost difference between a used Camry and a used domestic sedan I could pay for a lot of repairs (at least based on pre-covid numbers) which so far in nine years of ownership I haven't come close to hitting.
