Personal Investments • Vanguard Solo 401k Rollover

Hi all,
I recently did a rollover from a Solo 401k - I am the plan administrator - to an IRA. Will Vanguard issue a 1099-R for the 401k distribution, or do I need to issue it to myself and submit to IRS?

I was hoping someone who has done this would see your post and answer. Here is what I think (but I have not done this).

I believe that Vanguard will issue the 1099-R, but you should ask them.

Also remember to do the 5500 EZ (or 5500, I'm not sure which) indicating that you have terminated the plan. Apparently a lot of people overlook this. I've heard the penalty for not doing this form can be stiff.
