Personal Finance (Not Investing) • Do car/home repair funds become irrelevant as wealth grows?

thanks all for perspectives. It has started to feel a bit silly to save and track a few 10s of Ks we might spend in a given year, but usually won't when 1) it is a small part of our assets and 2) we are saving more than that annually. It sounds like a fair number of folks in our position feel similarly. At this point, I likely would only set aside funds for larger expenses like buying a property and college costs.

Now I am off to buy a car and hope the roof does not need to be replaced.
