Yes, I see now. Thanks very much. My wife and I started using this card recently, as opposed to our 2% cash-back-on-everything card, not only because we get 3% on some things, but because the OneKeyCash "feels" more fun. Since money is fungible, it might as well "feel" fun to spend it on a vacation than to just have it dumped into our brokerage account. It will absolutely get spent, since we travel several times per year. Mental accounting at its best. That's how I read it from Expedia:Hello,Points expire if you have not booked anything on Expedia in 18 months. This is the biggest drawback to the program
are you certain about this? According to Forbes and NerdWallet, points remain active as long as you earn or redeem points at least once every 18 months.
I could not find a clear answer on my Wells Fargo One Key+ Mastercard website terms and conditions section, etc.https://www.expedia.com/one-key-terms
4.4 OneKeyCash Expiration
Subject to the paragraph below, Base and Preferred Inventory OneKeyCash will not expire as long as you have made an Eligible Booking , redeemed a Redemption Reward through a Participating Brand on your Account, or earned Promotional OneKeyCash through the One Key or One Key+ credit cards in accordance with their terms at least once in the preceding eighteen (18) months. If there has been no such activity, all accumulated Base and Promotional OneKeyCash and Trip Elements in your Account will expire and will not be reinstated. Promotional OneKeyCash may have a different expiry period, please check the offer-specific terms and conditions for details.
It only mentioned Promotional cash. But then section 4.2 calls your regular credit card rewards as "Base" cash. You only earn "promotional" cash by making bookings, so that's basically the same as needing to make a booking every 18 months. If you have the Key+ card you get $100 travel credit every year, so perhaps that could count as promotional. I'm not sure. That credit expires annually, so if you are using that you'll get a booking every year anyway, and reset your expiration.
Thanks again.
