Personal Consumer Issues • $2000 water bill - yikes!

While $2000 would be more than an entire year for us, it could be that your old meter was defective and your $160 / quarter bills were wrong. :twisted: I write that because my old meter broke and registered zero until the water company got around to fixing it a year after I reported it.

With our new meter, we can go online and see hourly water use. A leak is easy to see because if water usage is not 0 for an hour when I know no water was used and especially no toilets flushed, then there is a leak.
