Personal Finance (Not Investing) • Medicare Part D - best coverage for the unexpected

Your Medicare Supplement Plan G will cover Part B drugs. I have no personal experience but expect Part B covers things such as chemotherapy administered in an outpatient setting, such as a clinic, doctor's office, or hospital. See: https://www.medicare.gov/coverage/presc ... outpatient
That is correct, at least in the case of DW, who receives Rituxan infusions at her doctor's office, which is covered by her AARP/UHC Medicare supplemental plan G (thank goodness).

Edited to add: On the other hand, we learned after the fact that in an inpatient setting, Part B does not cover prescribed drugs. If that makes sense?
I believe Part A covers the prescription drugs in inpatient hospital and SNF settings. When I was SNF inpatient for my broken neck a few years ago they gave me blister cards with all my prescription pills to take home.
