They may not drop by as much as you think they will since you will still need after school care, care on school holidays, and for summer break. There will also be new costs for things like sports and activities.The expenses is the tough part because we are in daycare years and it is so expensive. This will slowly drop off over the coming years and it makes me feel like I should suck it up until that happens.
By the size of your mortgage I would guess that you do not live in a very high cost of living area and people live very comfortably there on a lot less than you make. If so then it is all about the tradeoffs which you make to do what is important to you.
