I’ve been planning to start a small exercise room and get a schwinn airdyne, a bike that you can add an arm work out with. I’ve only spent a few minutes on one.
My SO had ankle surgery, might gain limited weight bearing in a few weeks. Foot drop needs to be prevented and mobility/strength improvement desired. We have a rowerg. My SO has previously recovered from ortho stuff using an outdoor bike, not a good option around here.
Has anyone used exercise bikes enough to know if the airdyne is a bad idea for this? I’d think to strap in the good foot, use it some, use the arm function a lot, let the bad foot ride along for range of motion.
Are there better indoor bikes to look at? I don’t mind upgrading to the airdyne later.
Thank you.
Let’s keep this to bikes, not medical stuff please.
